This is another history throwback and pure authentic self-actualization.  I am thrilled on the strength of connection with a state.  I do not know what to expect, but I am excited for the new challenges that awaits.  My credit score tanked alot.  I never knew that if you do not use credit that it can be taken away.  It is a lesson learned.

Thanks to the Berkeley County School District and coordination of State of North Carolina and State of South Carolina.  I have some memories restored.
I attended Cross Elementary School starting kindergarten, August 1981

In Fifth (5th) grade 1986-1987, I was 170 days present and 10 days absent.  This is the year I had a severe seizure, faints, and blackouts, and was treated at Trident Regional Medical Center and Medical University of South Carolina.  I also became Mister Fifth Grade for the school.  My fall semester grade for arithmetic is 84 and my spring semester grade for arithmetic is 74.  My fall semester grade for reading is 91 and spring semester grade for reading is 83.  My fall semester grade for language and grammar is 80 and my spring semester grade for language and grammar is 84.  My fall semester grade for  handwriting is 86 and my spring semester grade for handwriting is 97.  My fall semester grade for spelling is 80 and my spring semester grade for spelling is 89.  My fall semester grade for general science is 85 and my spring semester grade for general science is 85.  My fall semester grade for physiology and hygiene is 75 and my spring semester grade for physiology and hygiene is 80.  My fall semester grade for physical education is satisfactory and my spring semester grade for physical education is satisfactory.  My fall semester grade for art is satisfactory and my spring semester grade for art is satisfactory.  My fall semester grade for library is satisfactory and my spring semester grade for library is satisfactory.  Mrs. J. M Ravenell mentioned Marvell developed seizures this year in the remarks and was my homeroom teacher.

I earned my first Perfect Attendance award trophy.  My fall semester grade for arithmetic is B plus and my spring semester grade for arithmetic is B plus.  My fall semester grade for reading is B plus and my spring semester grade for reading is B minus.  My fall semester grade for language and grammar is B plus and my spring semester grade for language and grammar is B minus.  My fall semester grade for handwriting is satisfactory minus and my spring semester grade for handwriting is satifactory minus.  My fall semester grade for spelling is A and my spring semester grade for spelling is B.  My fall semester grade for social studies is B minus and my spring semester grade for social studies is C plus.  My fall semester grade for general science is B plus and my spring semester grade for general science is B minus.  My fall semester grade for physiology and hygiene is B minus and my spring semester grade for physiology and hygiene is B plus.  My physical education fall semester grade is satisfactory and my physical education spring semester grade is satisfactory.  My art fall semester grade is satisfactory and my art spring semester grade is satisfactory.  My music fall semester grade is satisfactory and my music spring semester grade is satisfactory.  My library fall semester grade is satisfactory and my library spring semester grade is satisfactory.  Ms. Z. Hamm was my homeroom teacher.  I was the face of the family for any of the family hard times....I was sent to neighbors begging for money, making phone calls, requesting store credit, or anything my mother needed when she could not ask for herself.

In Seventh (7th) grade 1988-1989, basic technology came in.  My regular reading course first semester grade is 86, my regular reading course second semester is 89, and my regular reading course final grade is 88.  My regular reading course was taught by B. Foster.  My social studies course first semester grade is 86, my social studies course second semester grade is 77, and my social studies course final grade is 82.  My social studies course was taught by E. Jefferson.  My general english first semester course is 93, my general english second semester course grade is 93, and my general english final grade is 93.  My general english course was taught by D. Watson.  My general math first semester course grade is 91, my general math second semester grade is 90, and my general math final grade is 91.  My general math course was taught by B. Foster.  My general science first semester grade is 79, my general science second semester grade is 87, and my general science final grade is 83.  My general science course was taught by T. Milford.  My advanced band first semester course grade is pass, my advanced band course second semester grade is pass, and my advanced band final grade is pass.  My advanced band course was taught by Mack Guice.  My physical education was taught by E. Nedd. He was the basketball coach.  Dr. Davidson was the track and field coach and provided me the first opportunity to be apart of the track team by keeping score.  I got my growth spurt, my mother and mother's boyfriend started teaching me how to drive, and my mother started letting me drive short distances by myself.

In Eighth (8th) grade 1989-1990, next level up of courses.  My college preparatory math course first semester grade is 84, my college preparatory math course second semester grade is 84, and my college preparatory math course final grade is 84.  My college preparatory math course was taught by D. Rubin.  My regular reading course first semester grade is 80, my regular reading course second semester grade is 79, and my regular reading course final grade is 80. My regular reading course was taught by Yvonne Bradley.  She was also one of my high school mentors.  I ran to her for anything that happened at school.  My college preparatory english course first semester grade is 77, my college preparatory english course second semester grade is 90, and my college preparatory english course final grade is 84.  My college preparatory english course was taught by Yvonne Bradley.  My college preparatory science course first semester grade is 80, my college preparatory science course second semester grade is 80, and my college preparatory science course final grade is 80.  My college preparatory science course was taught by T. Milford.  My physical education course final grade was 85.  My physical education course was taught by E. Nedd.  My band course first semester grade is pass, my band course second semester grade is pass, and my band course final grade is pass.  My band course was taught by Mack Guice.  He was over the Marching and Concert Band.  I played in both the marching band and concert band.  I started with trombone (5th and 6th grade), then went to percussion (7th, 8th, and 9th grade), then went to cymbals (10th and 11th grade), then became drum major my senior year.  My social studies course first semester grade is 74, my social studies course second semester grade is 77, and my social studies course final grade is 76. My social studies course was taught by J. Prioleau. He was the Pastor of Day Dawn Baptist Church in Pineville, SC.  It was good to hear him preach on church programs or baptist church convention.  I still was the track and field score keeper.

In Ninth (9th) grade 1990-1991, starting of my high school career.  My pre-vocation I course first semester grade is 84, my pre-vocation I course second semester grade is 85, and my pre-vocation I course final grade is 85.  My pre-vocation I course was taught by C. Snipes.  My physical science course first semester grade is 83, my physical science course second semester grade is 83, and my physical science course final grade is 83.  My physical science course was taught by T. Milford. My introduction to business course first semester grade is 81, my introduction to business course second semester grade is 92, and my introduction to business course grade is 87.  My introduction to business course was taught by Shelia Clemons.  She was my very first business and computer mentor along with Mrs. Bernice Wallace, advisor of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).  My physical education I course first semester grade is 88, my physical education I course second semester grade is 90, and my physical education I course final grade is 89.  My physical education course is E. Nedd.  My college preparatory course english I course first semester grade is 89, my college preparatory course english I course second semester grade is 89, and my college preparatory course english I final grade is 89.  My college preparatory english I course was taught by Ms. M. Ingmire.  My algebra I course first semester grade is 87, my algebra I course second semester grade is 88, and my algebra I course final grade is 88. My algebra I course was taught by Mr. Marshall Stanley, he was my favorite mathematics instructor of all time and always to took time out to explain concepts.  I became Freshman Class President.  I join the Track and Field team and everyone knew I was fast, here comes 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relays.  Track and field team captains were Toma and Dejona. Those two were very fast and Dejona was very good in female field events.  Coach Davidson for points just threw us (the sprinters) in 800m, mile, and 400m for team points....I thought I was going to die in those races.

In Tenth (10th) grade 1991-1992, beginning of college dreams. I was the first in my immediate mother's family to head to college. Watching the Cosby show, Family Matters, Different World, BET, and MTV gave formation of what could I possibly look forward to.  My college preparatory english II course first semester grade is 87, my college preparatory english II course second semester grade is 91, and my college preparatory english II course final grade is 89. My college preparatory english II course was taught by B. Clark. My college preparatory biology I course first semester grade is 84, my college preparatory biology I course second semester grade is 89, and my college preparatory biology I course is 87.  My college preparatory biology I course was taught by M. James.  She was great and loved her kids, Fredericka and Frederick.  My world history course first semester grade is 92, my world history course second semester grade is 93, and my world history course final grade 93. My world history course was taught by J. Wiggins, who talked with a horrible stutter when he start talking fast, and he was also my brothers and I hair barber. Mr. Wiggins was the advisor of the Black History Debate team (Rondell, LaShonda, Tirrell, Eric F. and me).  My college preparatory vocabulary skills first semester grade is 91.  My college preparatory course was taught by B. Antoniak.  My geometry course first semester grade is 91, my geometry course second semester grade is 88, and my geometry course final grade is 90. My geometry course was taught by M. Touchberry. She had a large birthmark on the side of her face, sometimes she does the makeup and sometimes she did not use makeup.  Ms. Touchberry was the one that told on me to the new principal, when I was sending back 'Thank You' gifts from Successories and cards to all my instructors.  That project got stopped.  My math test skills course second semester grade is 91 and my math test skills course final grade is 91. My math test skills course was taught by Marshall Stanley.  My business computer applications course second semester second semester grade is 94 and my business computer applications course final grade is 94.  My business computer applications course was taught by Shelia Clemons.  My introduction to computers course first semester grade is 88 and my introduction to computers course final grade is 88.  My introduction to computers course was taught by Shelia Clemons.  I did start to try applying for minimum wage jobs...McDonalds was the first employer I applied to.  The computer system we had was Microsoft DOS (MS-DOS), Lotus 123 for spreadsheets, and WordPerfect for documents.  I earned 12 credits and my overall GPA was 88.5.

In Eleventh (11th) grade 1992-1993, kept on working. My college preparatory english III course first semester grade is 84, my college preparatory english III course second semester grade is 83, and my college preparatory english III final grade is 84. My college preparatory english III course was taught by B. Antoniak. My chemistry course first semester grade is 82, my chemistry course second semester grade is 86, and my chemistry final grade is 84.  My chemistry course was taught by P. Bryant.  My United States History and Constitution course first semester grade is 87, my United States History and Constitution course second semester is 87, and my United States History and Constitution course final grade is 87.  My United States History and Constitution was taught by Mr. Don Brown. He was a red-headed man.  My spanish I course first semester course grade is 89, my spanish I course second semester course grade is 83, and my spanish I course final grade is 86.  My spanish I course was taught by Ms. Rachel President. Classmates and I enjoyed this class because we had to bring spanish dishes to class and dress up in costumes.  It was a party in the spanish class.  I remember our serious times was conjugating all spanish words and verbs. She was also our class advisor.  My algebra II course first semester grade is 92, my algebra II course second semester grade is 87, and my algebra II course final grade is 90.  My algebra II course was taught by Marshall Stanley.  My keyboarding course first semester grade is 98 and my keyboarding course second semester grade is 98.  My keyboarding course was taught by Shelia Clemons.  My keyboarding applications course second semester grade is 93 and my keyboarding applications course final grade is 93. Classmates and I pure competition in keyboarding was Tiffany Benisha Bennett.  Her fingers were flying across the keyboard.  She was #1 and stayed #1 entire course.  Keyboarding is also another word for typing.  I participated in Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) College Connection with Voorhees College and first met Miss Kimberly Joy Hazel, my South Carolina State University Student Government Association Secretary.  I earned 18 credits and my overall GPA was 4.328.  I am still apart of the marching band.  I track and field competition came in Karashi Husser and Thomas Munlyn....boy, I was ready to chop their legs off for ruining my glory. It was healthy competition.  Coach Mims let me play on the football team doing the running positions, offense #40 - runningback, halfback, flanker, and wide receiver; special teams; defense #80 - safety, defensiveback.  Everyone still knew I was fast. I remember one practice David Jaworski landed on my foot hurting my ankle.  My entire track season flashed before my eyes.  I had to look up to Keon Lamont Pinckney and Shane Polk because they were model players.  I remember one game I was jumping in the air for the ball and knocked down via a flip...Coach Mims took me out the when he saw I was flying through the air.

In Twelfth (12th) grade 1993-1994, the college collage. My college preparatory english IV course first semester grade is 72, my college preparatory english IV course second semester grade is 80, and my college preparatory final grade is 76. My college preparatory english IV course was taught by B. Antoniak. My college preparatory American government course second semester grade is 84 and my college preparatory American government course final grade is 84.  My college preparatory American government course was taught by M. Barnette. He was the very first instructor I did not like. I did not know what it was - teaching style, personality, content/subject matter, or it was a class I could not get an 'A' in. - I just did not like him.  He was the Junior Achievement advisor and Model Congress advisor. Yes, I was in Junior Achievement and Model Congress.  My economics class was upgraded from general to college preparatory. My college preparatory economics course first semester grade is 76 and my college preparatory economics course final grade is 76.  My college preparatory course was taught by M. Barnette. My health course first semester grade is 91 and my health course final grade is 91. My health course was taught by W. Runyon. Mr. Runyon became the new basketball coach and he was a new instructor to the school.  My band I course first semester grade is 88, my band I course second semester grade is 85, and my band I course final grade is 87.  My band I course was taught by Ricky Gardner. The marching band changed and I became drum major along with Kia Frazier and Tequila Johnson.  My spanish II course first semester grade is 80, my spanish II course second semester grade is 79, and my spanish II course final grade is 80.  My spanish II course was taught by Rachel President.  My Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) I course second semester grade is 97. I got a $100 scholarship bond from my JROTC instructors.  My Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) I course was taught by L. Rice III.  My pre-calculus honors course first semester grade is 88, my pre-calculus honors course second semester grade is 86, and my pre-calculus honors course final grade is 87. My pre-calculus honors course was taught by Marshall Stanley.  I became Senior Class President.  Tequila Johnson became Student Government President.  I got accepted to Howard University, Clark-Atlanta University, Johnson-Wales University (Rhode Island) with a $1500 scholarship, South Carolina State University with a full academic scholarship in the USDA/1890 National Scholars program, Florida Southern College.
